Shawn Nairn PharmD, Owner

Shawn is a pharmacist and owner at ACORx Pharmacy. After graduating from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, he began exploring pharmacy ownership, through several channels. Shawn’s background is diverse, including chain pharmacy, owning and operating various independent pharmacies, long-term care and medication adherence packaging. Shawn has been active in Pharmacy for more than 30 years and has developed a successful working knowledge of the pharmacy industry, focusing on his patients and offering outstanding customer service. He realized the opportunity in concierge pharmacy in 2015 and began moving towards creating a pharmacy based on medication adherence. ACORx was born from this idea and has since been named one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in Pittsburgh for 2016 and in the top 50 fastest growing companies for 2020 from Pittsburgh Business Times. Shawn is actively involved in the Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association (PPA) as a member of their Legislative Committee and is a Regional Board Member with Value Drug. Shawn has also received the George S. Maggio Award in 2018, Presented to the pharmacist who has contributed the most to pharmacy in Pennsylvania through their work in legislative activities and advocacy. One of Shawn's favorite things to do when he is not at work, is to go play a round of 18 at the nearest golf course!
